Athenree Portal Tomb, Creggan

Grid Reference: H 6286 7143 / OS Sheet 13
This is a portal tomb or dolman. The tomb collapsed in the past when one of the 2 stones broke causing the large capstone to slip and swing forward. This is reputed to be one of the largest capstones on an Ulster portal tomb.
Directions: situated 7km south of An Creagan, close to Carrickmore.
